Convenience and design

Many people build their own home in Costa Rica simply because there aren’t any acceptable ones for sale in the area of their choice. Despite the building boom that’s been sweeping the country for the last decade or so, many popular areas still lack a significant volume of product to chose from. Still, this can’t really be described as “convenient.” Building a house is a major undertaking, something for which most people have neither the time nor the inclination. Many things can go wrong and you can end up having a stressful time. Or, as mentioned before, you could end up in the home of your dreams. Building your own home gives you ultimate control over design, which may be just what you’re looking for. As mentioned, however, your taste may not be what other people are looking for, so proceed with caution.
